  18. I have an Amiga4000/040 with 12MB Ram. I use the german Version of PS3
  19. so some keywords may be wrong. I use PS3 mainly in text mode for
  20. creating books which are relativ big (the current is about 400 pages).
  21. I use several files to keep to speed up the layout when adding/deleting
  22. text. For having several files the pages of a new file does not start
  23. with page 1 but f.e. with page 16. Still it is sometimes a pain, when I
  24. have files with 50 or more pages. Also if I select page 50 f.e. I have
  25. to wait quite long... On the other side I'm quite impressed how fast a page
  26. is shown. This a big improvement over PS2.2.

  28. Except several problems while importing (mainly because PS3 seems to have
  29. a higher precision as PS2.2 had) and some other I have found the following
  30. "real bugs". I don't know what are the known bugs of text related problems
  31. but I'd like to know them (if you have a list).

  33. - If I select page 16 on a document with starts with page 16 PS shows
  34.   me page 32. It seems page 16 = page 1, page 17 = page 2 etc. internally.

  36. - If I create a text column, linked, from page 16 to 50 it creates one
  37.   from page 16 to 34 only (seems to be similar to the above bug) if
  38.   file starts with page 16. Similar problem when deleting pages.

  40. - master pages: I have a double sided document. My first document starts
  41.   at page 7 and ends at page 16. Now I have created a text column on the
  42.   master page which has LG on the left master page and RG on the right.
  43.   the first one is left aligned, the second is right aligned. Here I
  44.   found two bugs: 1) If I look at page 7, the seven is not right aligned,
  45.   but there is a 7 and after it a space before the right edge. If the
  46.   document has more than 100 pages you even see 2 spaces and on page 10
  47.   you see 1 space. 2) If my document starts on page 16, the 16 is shown
  48.   on the right side instead on the left side.

  51. On the coming 3.0i: You talk about text tags, but I'd like to especially
  52. know if kerning pairs (edit kerning), find/replace and Hyphenation will
  53. be implemented. I know you can use find/replace withing Page Liner, but
  54. I'd like to do either a macro which seearches a pair of words, replace
  55. it by another kerning pair (f.e. "(WA" looks quite ugly with Times normal)
  56. or a macro which searches the same but then uses a kerning style tag.

  58. I also hope that you can speedup editing of text (not so important) and
  59. jumping on page in a far range (this was much quicker with PS2.2) (quite
  60. important).
